Twitter has been going. So recently, I've decided to try focusing my research on birds and their intelligence. So far, there are not a lot of new account that I found which frequently post about bird research, so I am really just following general accounts and looking from there. #39canimals is another place that I scroll through everyday and I retweet anything I think is useful or related to avian intelligence. I think Pearl @PearlChoi6 had a really good, (kinda lengthy) article on WHY we look for intelligence and I think that it is a very nice read.
So on the blogs I've seen, I realized that a lot of people had the same thought as I did and read the third chapter of Safina's book first. So that was nice, being able to instantly see what other people took away right after I read it myself.
I replied to three people, Darren Wittry, Daniel Wang, and Asia Jackson. Some of these people I replied to was because, they actually commented on my posts first, so I thought I would do the same. What was interesting was different people interpreted the chapter. One person thought Safina was trying to say all animals had "theory of mind", while another thought Safina tried to say that we shouldn't be looking at animal intelligence in a human way, because animals are all different. I think the one I agree with most was about how Safina was really trying to counter scientists who reject animal intelligence. I think that is because of the ways that Safina really critiqued the tests used to measure animal intelligence, as they were created with a human as a base. Ultimately, the purpose was meant to reopen the thoughts of scientists to be more accepting of the idea about animal intelligence, but to still be thorough with the experiments and tests.

Hi justin, I also find that birds's intelligence is an interesting topic to research and their intelligences are they're more intelligent than what we thought before. Is that why we look intelligence article related to birds?
Hi Justin, I think bird and it's intelligence is definitely a interesting topic to research, and I am also going to do my research on animal intelligence, but I am going to do it on cat intelligence cause I can observe it's action when I get my research done.
