Keeping Up with Twitter

So I have been using Twitter lightly everyday to see anything new and to follow new accounts. Usually what I would do is go look at recent posts made by my classmates and I would follow any retweets they post. There were a lot of different topic I saw, but I think the ones that stood out to me the most were all the cases of animal cruelty and neglect that there were. One particularly stood out was one post linking a blog where a journalist recalls an experience he had with captive dolphins that he remembered fondly. Only later did he realize how cruel the dolphins were treated and worked simply for his entertainment. The shocking thing to me was the fact that the business holding the dolphins captive were still running and making money off of the poor animals. It's even crazier to think about how that business was not even close to the only place that treats animals badly.
I replied to Darren Wittry, Shelly Xiaomeng Li, and Benjamin Yang. I was surprised that they also had little experience with Twitter (I thought I was the only one). Benjamin Yang's blog was especially interesting since he was very vocal about his opinions on Twitter, so you should check him out.
