The social media campaign was interesting, as I actually looked at stuff I personally could do to help birds. I think the craziest thing was that there were some problems that seem so simple, but actually harm birds very heavily; such as window collisions, and cats. I think that is why they most important problems, as the solutions are so simple. If everyone put decals on their windows, and kept their cats from going outside unsupervised, we could all prevent billions of bird deaths each year.

There were two organizations that I found which both were working to save birds, the American Bird Conservancy and The Audubon Society. Both of which had similar objectives to spread the love of birds, and to work together on policies to prevent deaths.

Most of my tweets didn't really catch much attention, but @benwithanimals liked a lot of my tweets. I also made my infographic with the problem of bird collisions as the focus.

This week we also reviewed a couple videos which talked about animals and our perspectives on them. There was a lot of very persuasive things from Richard Ryder, Peter Singer, and Richard Dawkins. They had very strong arguments appealing to ethos, logos, and pathos. I found that Ryder's arguments were more in line with what I thought I would be doing, so I made sure to note how he implements appeals to pathos after his quotes. Singer's arguments were much more personalized opinions, which I think would be better suited towards quoting.

I also reviewed two LR Drafts as well, from Asia Jackson, and Li Siheng. I thought that their drafts were both pretty good at conveying the information from the articles and connecting it to a problem, but I think that it could still be improved. The structure of one of them could have been a bit more clear, while both were missing some important pieces of information or history around their articles. My draft was not perfect either, as my introduction did not have enough context, my articles I forgot to name in the essay, and I did not cite each of the quotes.
