Start of Week 5, and more of the same old stuff.
I mainly focused up on crows, birds of the corvidae family. I followed some new birdwatchers and scientists. It's getting harder to find people to follow, and most of the time, they don't post very often, so my feed is full of #39canimals. Along the way I found an article talking about crow facts, with a lot of sources. One cool behaviorist I found from that was, Friederike Hillemann and her study done on crow impulses and self-control. What she found out was that crows are able to restrain their impulse to eat something and wait to be able to trade for a preferred food.
This week I responded to Thomas Pan, Zixuan Du, and Shelly Li. I think the best response I gave was towards Thomas though, because of the fact his research topics ended up similar to mine. He showed me two articles, one on crows from John Marzluff, which I might end up using for myself. The other though was on parrots instead, something I neglected looking about while I was doing my research. While I knew I wanted to look for intelligence in crows, parrots are also another intelligent bird species that I forgot to look into.
